1. Please start by giving us a short introduction to who you are and your history within EVE Online. Include how long you have been playing and the groups you have been involved with.

I have been playing EVE since November 2012, on the cusp of the release of Retribution. I have started my career as a high-sec missioner and occasional miner. I found my true calling in EVE following the This Is EVE trailer when I joined the ranks of BRAVE initially with BNI and later with Bovril. I was there for the fall of Catch to PL (what a many great fights) to the times in Fountain under the siege of Black Legion to the move to RAZOR Alliance in 2015.

I am currently a diplomat and an FC for the alliance Brotherhood of Spacers [B0SS] in Star Frontiers [-S-F-] where I try to carve myself a little slice of space with my corp and alliance mates.

2. Who would you consider to be your key constituents? Who would you best represent within the playerbase?

I would say the Sov 0.0 dweller since I spend all my time in Sov 0.0 both for PVP and PVE. I have only dabbled in missions over two years ago and in some exploration across all bands of space.

3. Please summarise your platform. (Preferably using key bullet points)

  • Community - This is the lifeblood of this game.
  • Dynamism - The game needs to stay dynamic by means of mechanics.
  • QoL/UX improvements/Little things - The market window, contracts UI, etc. need some love.

4. Why have you decided to run for CSM this year?

I was convinced by a group of my fellow alliance mates who think that I have plenty to give back to the community.

5. Have you run for or been a member of CSM in the past? If so please list each year and if you were elected.

6. What makes you a unique representative when you compare yourself to other candidates?

Even my nemeses say this about me, I’m an enthusiastic EVE player. I have blood made of nanite paste and shower in Pod goo. EVE is my second life. I guess most candidates would respond in the same fashion. I am someone who would sacrifice much for the health of the game and its denizens.

Nevertheless, EVE is a living organism and it would suffer if it can’t “keep up”, I believe strongly that the way CCP has been moving forward these past couple years is the right direction even though the roadmap to CCP Seagull’s “New Space” is peppered with dangers and pitfalls.

7. Do you have any out of game experience and skills that make you a good candidate?

I work as in a small to medium sized team of co-workers with logistics for my work. We each have our complementary skillsets and in this I have the responsibility to my superiors and my coworkers to identify those strengths and make best use of them.

I have also a great interest in languages and sociology. Not on a college level, but on a more hobbyist level.

8. What areas of EVE are you weakest at knowledge wise?

Wormholes. I have only traversed wormholes as a means to get from A to B, or for some ninja gas huffing. I have had some experience with fighting and hunting in lowsec as well as missions before 2015.

9. If you were offered unlimited development time - what's the biggest change you would lobby for in EVE?

A redesign of the UX paradigms in the game. The new industry window and the introduction of access lists for the new structures is a great way forwards, and I would love to see more of EVE’s UX redesigned in a more intuitive way.

10. If you could wind back the clock - what feature or change would you remove from EVE?

Core fitting skills, and by that I mean the triad of CPU, Power Grid, and Capacitor Management. While I understand their use currently, these are to the detriment of the early player to be “efficient”. Many would tell newcomers to train these three skills to V before boarding anything.

11. If you could pick one candidate to be elected with you who would they be and why?

Steve Ronuken. His work on providing access on game data is tremendously useful as most, if not all, organisations in this game sooner or later will have to rely on 3rd party tools and we need someone with the know-how on the CSM. Furthermore, his experience with previous CSMs will certainly provide continuity to the coming Council.

12. What is your favorite memory in EVE and why?

The F4R strat-op where a BRAVE Cormorant got the final blow on the station while the fleets were being engaged by PL. Seeing this in local:

13. What platform(s) do you use currently to engage with the wider player base? If someone wanted to contact you what is the best way to do this? (Include Twitter/Emails/Skype/Slack etc.)

Twitter, mostly. Feel free to DM me @minustar. You are also more than welcome to send me an in-game mail as I check my inbox even when I’m not online (and can now reply from my phone, thank you CCP for EVE Portal). I am also on the Tweetfleet slack under the same handle.

14. If people wanted to find out more about your platform - where is the best place to do so? (Include blogs, forums posts and podcasts)

My website:

15. What is your closing statement (no more than 500 words please!)

I might not have played EVE for a decade but in the years I’ve spent in the game, I’ve learnt a great deal with the people I flew with. I see great things on the horizon and can’t wait for more information, even just hints, at what is coming next on the road to this promised land of “New Space”. I want to do my part with your mandate in shaping the future of EVE Online together with an elected few and the many thousands players who each day write a new page in the history of New Eden.

EVE is a game that relies on a synergy between CCP as the developer and the players as their customer and thanks to the sandbox nature of the game, its content facilitators. The CSM is a tremendous opportunity that CCP gives us to help them in designing our game. I believe that if elected, I can assist in making EVE Online this one gem of a sandbox, an avenue of so much excitement and wonder.

EVE is forever.
