The day we have all been waiting for has arrived and the Alliance Tournament XIV has been announced! We will be providing a full analysis and commentary on the new rules and regulations for this years tournament in due course once our expert correspondent Elinari has had a chance to review the rules.
However, for those of you who are eagle eyed may have noticed that the alliance tournament will be kicking off on November 5th which is around the same time EVE-NT intended to run the EVE-NT Championship. As a result we have had to alter the plans for this years season of tournament.
Elise Randolph our Director of EVE_NT EVEsport has released the following announcement.
Notice to Eve-NT Competitors
Given the delay of this years? Alliance Tournament, we will unfortunately be delaying the start of our season until the first week of February 2017. We are acutely aware of the amount of effort players will devote to participating in the Alliance Tournament and how precious weekends are for practice; our initial scheduling of the event in October was done under the assumption that AT XIV would be held in August, as is customary. Given these changes, however, the only way to preserve the quality of competition and avoid competitor burnout is to delay the start of the season. Given these changes, any captain wishing to withdraw their application will be given the opportunity to do so. Captains wishing to compete will be given more time to appropriately plan their teams.
Thank you for your understanding, and we?re looking forward to seeing you in the new year.
Elise Randolph
EVE_NT EVEsports Director
We understand that a number of teams have already pledged their commitment to the EVE-NT Championship tournament and these pledges will continue to be honoured for the next season even if it is later than originally planned.
Even though this alliance tournament announcement has meant we have had to change our own plans, we are at EVE-NT are exceptionally excited to see the event which inspired us to do what we do come back again for another year, bigger and better than ever.
