EVE University ? This Weeks Classes

Image of EVE University ? This Weeks Classes

The following was taken from this weeks EVE University public mailing list which you join in game by signing up to 'Classes.E-UNI'.
The primary purpose of EVE University is to teach new (and old) players about the basics of life in EVE and various aspects of game play. To that end they hold regular classes, both theoretical and practical, in order to accomplish this goal. You can find more information on how to join their classes on their website here. If you are unable to attend a live class due to time zone differences, you will also be able to find transcripts of their classes as well.
Please note that most of their classes are public! You do not need to be a member of EVE University to join!
his is a preliminary overview of University classes scheduled for the week of Monday, 20 June. All dates are subject to change at the discretion of the lecturer and/or teaching staff. All times are specified in EVE time. All classes are open to the public unless specified otherwise.

Tuesday, 21 June
03:00 - [Q&A] Game Mechanics
The first of Professor Seamus Donohue's twice weekly Q&A Sessions. Brings your questions about how EVE works and he'll get them answered for you.

Tuesday, 21 June
19:00 - Directional Scanning 101
Christopher Nolm leads this class teaching you how to use your Directional Scanner. This critical piece of your ship's equipment can mean the difference between life and death in dangerous space, so you better make sure you know how to use it.

Thursday, 23 June
17:00 - Project Discovery
Gues Lecturer HPA Illuminator will be teaching a Guest Lecture about Project Discovery (as one of the scientist working in Prof. Lundberg's group). The beginning of this class will be a basic introduction for (relatively) new players, and the end will be an open Q&A. If you've played PD for some time, you are of course welcome to join at any time during class (and feel free to submit samples you want me to discuss at the end of the lecture).

Friday, 24 June
23:00 - PvP Dynamics
PvP is on everyone's mind. Lets get to it and Kill the ALL. 30-45 minute session on PvP Dynamics and Fleet Operations. This class is followed by Noobs on Patrol. Everyone is welcome! Rudra Som leads you into battle.

Sunday, 26 June
19:00 - [Q&A] Game Mechanics
Seamus Donohue runs the second of his twice a week sessions on the Mechanics of EVE. Come with you questions and get answers.

That's all as far as the current schedule goes. As always, all classes can also be found on
the EVE University calendar. For information on how to join EVE University, please see Applying to EVE University. If you wish to contribute to the University by hosting classes of your own, please see Joining the Faculty.
