EVE Online comes to Antwerp for the first time on July 20th! Organised by the EVE TV Presenter Jorg Ian Floren (aka Drechlas) who decided to take the initiative to organise the first EVE Player Event in Antwerp. He says:-

I met up with some great Belgian community members during fanfest and we wholeheartedly agreed, Belgium needs an EVE Meet. We have the best beer in the world and a lot of interested people not only from Belgium but also The Netherlands and Germany willing to travel to Antwerp in order to have a beer and talk EVE and general life all night long.

The event will be held on Wednesday July 20th, which is an unusual day for an EVE Meet-Up, but it coincides with the with Belgium Independence day on the 21st.
But more importantly this event will host a special guest for the first ever Belgian EVE Online player meet: CCP Red Dawn, who agreed to come by and have a beer with you all! CCP Red Dawn is a game designer for CCP and has been working with the company for 6 years! Currently working on team Astro Sparkle, a relatively a new team based around keeping players engaged in EVE Online that was formed December last year.
The venue will be at Bier Central, in Antwerp city centre and is only 50 steps away from Antwerp Central Station. For those who wish to make this a little city trip, several hotels are nearby for every available budget.
Bier Central is decorated in the style of a 1930's style public house. With a typical tiled floor and "lampes belges". You can drink your beer at tables which are old converted yeast presses, seated on half barrels converted into chairs. There is a huge selection of 25 draught beers and more than 300 bottled beers!
