CSM XI Profiles - Gorski Car

Image of CSM XI Profiles - Gorski Car

With the Council of Stellar Management (CSM) Elections coming up soon we at EVE NT have contacted all the running candidates who have announced their intentions to run and provided them with a standardised interview template. The goal of this is to give each candidate a set of standard questions for them to respond to with the aim of helping you, the voter, to choose a candidate who best represents you and your play style to CCP. The same questions have been asked of every candidate as to allow easier comparison. The responses posted are unedited and will be published in the run up to the opening of the voting period on Febuary the 29th in the order that they have been received. You can find out more about the CSM elections here.
Today's candidate is Gorski Car.

Please start by giving us a short introduction to who you are and your history within EVE Online. Include how long you have been playing and the groups you have been involved with.
Hello I am Gorski Car. I have been playing since around 2008 on many different characters. Most recently I have been involved with the Therabois group and Pandemic Legion. Apart from that I have also been part of faction warfare fighting for Amarr and Minmatar. I have been added late as people dropped out to CSM 9 and CSM 10.

Who would you consider to be your key constituents, who you would best represent within the playerbase?
Solo/small gang pvpers/somewhat wormholes and Faction warfare.

Please summarise your platform. (Preferably using key bullet points)
I don't really have a platform. I will take the stuff ccp asks us to provide feedback on and try to provide as good feedback as possible from my small/solo pov

Why have you decided to run for CSM this year?
I have not gotten on a CSM full term yet and while getting in late is good it is not optimal and I would really like to get the entire CSM experience.

Have you run for or been a member of CSM in the past? If so please list each year and if you were elected.
CSM 9 and CSM 10 got in half way though

What makes you a unique representative when you compare yourself to other candidates?
I am currently one of the few csm members of this term who have decided to rerun for CSM 11. I have also got a pretty good relationship with many devs already and I know my way around.

Do you have any out of game experience and skills that make you a good candidate?
I moderate r/eve and heard cats in real life

What areas of EVE are you weakest at knowledge wise?
I have to admit that I have never touched PI, poses and I am pretty bad at probing even if I try.

If you was offered one year of unlimited development time - what's the biggest change you would lobby for in EVE?
Remove off grid links

If you could wind back the clock - what feature or change would you remove from EVE?
Many things come to mind here. The TE nerf, the HML nerf,

If you could pick one candidate to be elected with you, who would they be and why?
Apoth - We are already in the same corp and I would consider us friends outside of eve as well. He is also a really knowledgeable guy and one of the smarter and funnier people I have met.

What is your favorite memory in EVE and why?
Farming Brave Newbies in Rahadalon. Why? Because I had my close knit group of friends and we did all these stupid setups like noobship fleet etc and brave was the content that just kept on giving back then.

What platform(s) do you use currently to engage with the wider player base? If someone wanted to contact you what is the best way to do this? (Include Twitter/Emails/Skype/Slack etc.)
Reddit (/u/Gorski_car), Twitter (@GorskingCar), Tweetfleet slack (Gorski_car) Other then that Ingame mails work fine

If people wanted to find out more about your platform - where is the best place to do so? (Include blogs, forums posts and podcasts)
I don't post much on the official forums but you can find my posts on reddit (https://www.reddit.com/user/Gorski_Car/) and my articles on CrossingZebras.com (http://crossingzebras.com/author/gorski/). I guess you have my official csm thread here as well: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=461828&find=unread

In short - what is your closing statement (no more than 500 words please!)
I would love to get the opportunity to represent the community for another full csm term and I hope that I can do my best to improve my posting.
