CSM XI Profiles - Xenuria

Image of CSM XI Profiles - Xenuria

With the Council of Stellar Management (CSM) Elections coming up soon we at EVE NT have contacted all the running candidates who have announced their intentions to run and provided them with a standardised interview template. The goal of this is to give each candidate a set of standard questions for them to respond to with the aim of helping you, the voter, to choose a candidate who best represents you and your play style to CCP. The same questions have been asked of every candidate as to allow easier comparison. The responses posted are unedited and will be published in the run up to the opening of the voting period on Febuary the 29th in the order that they have been received. You can find out more about the CSM elections here.
Today's candidate is Xenuria.

Please start by giving us a short introduction to who you are and your history within EVE Online. Include how long you have been playing and the groups you have been involved with.
I am Xenuria and I have made somewhat of a name for myself within eve for being a giant 'space hame?. I often find humor as a reliable means of articulating complex topics over large communication barriers. I use humor, wit and satire as a means of bringing attention to the larger pattern in new eden. I have played with and been a member of almost every major power in new eden at one point or another. My employment history reads like a who's who of eve online.

Who would you consider to be your key constituents? Who you would best represent within the playerbase?
I feel like my key constituents are as diverse as the player base itself. No single entity or organization in eve benefits most should I be elected. My entire platform is one that appeals to everybody who is dissatisfied with the trend that CCP are taking when it comes to CSM involvement.

Please summarise your platform. (Preferably using key bullet points)

  • Reform the CSM

  • Re-structure the White Paper & All other paperwork associated with the daily functions of the CSM.

  • Bridge communication gaps between CCP and the CSM

  • Make EvE Great Again

Why have you decided to run for CSM this year?
A long tapestry of events has painted for me a picture of urgency and uncertainty that I feel I am uniquely equipped to address.

Have you run for or been a member of CSM in the past? If so please list each year and if you were elected.
I have run for the past few years but I have not yet been elected.

What makes you a unique representative when you compare yourself to other candidates?
For starters I have autism and am the only candidate to ever run on a reform platform. I am a unique representative because my platform isn't just uncharted territory, it's essential to the survival of The Game.

Do you have any out of game experience and skills that make you a good candidate?
I suppose you could count my work as a behavioral consultant, my background in psychology and my nuanced understanding of social dynamics in large scale simulacrums.

What areas of EVE are you weakest at knowledge wise?
I know almost nothing about how the POS system works. If you told me I had to run reactions I would have no clue what I was doing.

If you were offered unlimited development time - what's the biggest change you would lobby for in EVE?
I am not really sure how and unlimited quantity of time could be compressed within a limited quantity of time. I am fairly certain that is impossible. In terms of what I would want CCP to focus on, I think tranquility tech 3 is a step in the right direction.

If you could wind back the clock - what feature or change would you remove from EVE?
Meddling with time travel is metaphysically problematic. I would advise against it.

If you could pick one candidate to be elected with you who would they be and why?
I would say Sion or Sugar Kyle, both are very mature and intelligent people. I feel like working with the CSM would be easier with either or both of them being a part of it.

What is your favorite memory in EVE and why?
This one time myself and a few other members of umbrella group almost crashed the plex market. I like this memory because it's but a very small granule of how unstable player run economies are. Inherent in that instability is the joyous chaos that eve is known for.

What platform(s) do you use currently to engage with the wider player base? If someone wanted to contact you what is the best way to do this? (Include Twitter/Emails/Skype/Slack etc.)
Twitter and slack work really well.

If people wanted to find out more about your platform - where is the best place to do so? (Include blogs, forums posts and podcasts)
https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=460947&find=unread

In short - what is your closing statement (no more than 500 words please!)
These boots are made for walkin.
